FTK Background

Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering Technology UTHM (FTK). By visiting our website, you are walking through our “virtual front door” and I hope by experiencing FTK online, you can obtain the diverse information and be inspired. At FTK, we are putting knowledge to practice with innovations in critical areas like sustainable constructions, green environmental practice, biotechnology, industrial automotive, renewable energy communication and computing and electrical power. Today, through the innovations provided by our academic programs, we are expected to greatly impact the future of our lives and generations to come.

The faculty consists of FIVE (5) departments of engineering technology: chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical and transportation. Our academic programs have close connections with related industries. Therefore, it is in our nature to transform students’ educational experience through the multidisciplinary and experiential learning so that the powerful intellectual ideas have real world applications. I am greatly welcome you and I’m excited that you will learn more about our deeply mission-driven faculty as we share our accomplishments, aspirations and capacity to solve critical problems and challenges of our time.
