PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION

 

BNH

Textile engineering technology programme aims to developed understanding of the textile industry, textile process and technical textile. Furthermore the programme will prepare the graduate with knowledge, problem solving ability and skill to enter into the respective careers in textiles industries. The rapid growth in textile industry in Malaysia and globally gives rise to the great demanding for manager, technologies, machinery and maintenance engineer and researcher.

Packaging include everything start from the shelf display to protection during shipment while goods are on distribution. Package design is evaluated based on how well the package performs the required function in an effective manner. The aims of packaging engineering technology programme is to prepared student with an exciting and dynamic profession that uniquely involves engineering, science, technology, environmental and business.  
 
 
 
    • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Plant) with Honours
The program of Plant Engineering Technology offers the students with practical knowhow and comprehensive knowledge required in process and power plant facilities. The rapid paces of development in the process industries of petrochemicals and oleo chemicals in the upstream and downstream sector in Malaysia and globally makes Plant Engineering Technology one of the most versatile, interesting and demanding engineering discipline.
 
 
 
    • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Automotive) with Honours
The automotive technology programme offers the student with engineering knowledge, problem solving, technical and soft skills which are demanded by automotive industries. Student will be exposed with recent automotive technology such as hybrid and electric vehicles and also development in vehicle systems that meet current stringent environmental regulation. Each individual will be prepared with hands-on laboratory and technical practices experience in automotive engineering process, mechanical testing, metallurgy, vehicle maintenance and performance and on job training during their internship programme.  
 
  
  
    • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology (Manufacturing) with Honours
The Manufacturing Engineering Technology program offers the students with engineering knowledge and skills in the area of applied manufacturing engineering. This knowledge and hands-on skill will enable them to readily involve in the various kinds of technical careers especially in manufacturing. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a foundation in mechanical engineering and manufacturing disciplines, as well as manufacturing-specific technical courses. The courses focusing on the fundamental engineering knowledge include the subject areas of engineering drawings, statics, dynamics, solid mechanics, material science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics etc. The manufacturing-specific courses cover subjects in manufacturing technology, machining technology, metrology & measurement, CNC technology & CADCAM, casting technology, design for assembly & manufacturing, production planning and control etc. Most of the technical courses have an extensive practical work conducted in various laboratories where students engage in "hands-on" application of theory.

Presiden & Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif

Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd

 

Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid, 58, adalah merupakan Presiden & Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (PERODUA).  Beliau memulakan perkhidmatan di Perodua pada 16hb November 2009.

Sebelum menyertai Perodua, beliau telah bekerja selama 8 tahun dengan Techart Sdn Bhd, anak syarikat MARA dan menghabiskan masa kira-kira 1 ½ tahun dengan Utusan Melayu (M) Bhd yang memfokus terutamanya dalam bidang hartanah dan pembelian.  Selepas itu, beliau menyertai UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, anak syarikat UMW, di mana beliau telah diberikan pendedahan dan tanggungjawab di dalam pentadbiran, hartanah, sumber manusia, jualan, pemasaran dan juga perancangan korporat.  Beliau di UMW Toyota selama 18 tahun dan jawatan terakhir adalah sebagai Pengarah Eksekutif dan Ketua Pemasaran Strategik Kumpulan.

Datuk (Dr) Aminar memegang Ijazah Kejuruteraan Awam dari Universiti Teknologi MARA dan juga mempunyai Diploma Eksekutif dalam Pentadbiran Perniagaan dari University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom.  Beliau juga menghadiri “Management Development Program” di Universiti of Michigan, USA.

Beliau merupakan Ahli Lembaga Pengarah Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (POSB), Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd (PSSB), Perodua Auto Corporation Sdn Bhd (PCSB), Perodua Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (PMSB), Perodua Engine Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (PEMSB), Perodua Stamping Sdn Bhd, Strategic Auto Sdn Bhd, Ingress Technologies Sdn Bhd (ITSB), UMW M&E Sdn Bhd, dan Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP).

Beliau juga merupakan Ahli Jawatankuasa “Audit Committee” bagi Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd dan Perodua Auto Corporation Sdn Bhd, Ahli Exco Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd, Ahli Lembaga Akademik, Fakulti Kejuruteraan Awam, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Ahli Lembaga Pemegang Amanah Yayasan Budiman UiTM (YBUiTM), Ahli Majlis Penasihat Universiti-Industri UiTM, Ahli Jawatankuasa Daya Usaha dan Inovasi, Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi, serta dijemput menghadiri mesyuarat bulanan Jawatankuasa Pengurusan UMW.  Beliau juga merupakan ahli panel penasihat bagi International College of Automotive (ICAM). Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid adalah Ahli Majlis “Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute” (ASLI).

Beliau telah menerima anugerah “Tokoh Alumni UiTM 2012” daripada Universiti Teknologi MARA serta “Automotive Man of the Year 2014” oleh NST-Maybank COTY Awards 2014.  Beliau juga telah dianugerahkan dengan Ijazah Kehormat Doktor Kejuruteraan oleh Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) pada 3hb Oktober 2015. Beliau telah dianugerahkan dengan Ijazah Kehormat, Doktor Falsafah – Automotif Kejuruteraan oleh Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) pada 19hb November 2016.  YBhg Datuk Aminar telah ditawarkan sebagai Profesor Adjung di Fakulti Teknologi Kerjuruteraan UTHM pada bulan November 2017.

Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid telah berkahwin dengan Datin Junrayati Johari dan mempunyai tiga orang anak perempuan.

Pada 15 April 2018, Datuk Aminar telah mengadakan lawatan ke UTHM kapus Pagoh bagi menyampaikan perkongsian idea berkenaan Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0). Beliau telah berkongsikan pengalaman dan idea mengenai kepentingan hubungan baik diantara universiti dan industri bagi membolehkan pelaksanaan IR4.0. Berikut adalah pautan gambar dan video aktiviti disepanjang lawatan Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh ke UTHM kampus Pagoh.

Seterusnya, hasil daripada dapatan kerjasama dengan Perodua, satu forum telah diadakankan ini adalah bertujuan untuk memberikan kesedaran tentang kepentingan ilmu pengukuran kepada pelajar dan staf Jabatan Teknologi Kejuruteraan Mekanikal (JTKM), FTK. Dua panel telah dijemput untuk berkongsi pengalaman mereka dalam bidang pengukuran. Panel pertama adalah En. Fazrul bin Mohd Nor dari National Metrology of Institute Malaysia (NMIM). Beliau merupakan metrologist kanan di NMIM, SIRIM Berhad setelah berkhidmat selama 18 tahun. Manakala panel kedua ialah En. Hasrol bin Hashim dari Perodua Malaysia sebagai Deputy General Manager Chief Engineer dalam R&D. Kehadiran pelajar dan staf JTKM, FTK sangat memberansangkan. Forum yang dikongsikan adalah berkisar tentang pengalaman sebagai metrologist, kepentingan ilmu pengukuran dalam kehidupan seharian dan pekerjaan, bicara kerjaya yang berkaitan dan sebagainya.
