LABORATORIES & FACILITIES 

All 12 laboratories for JTKK are located at Block H, UTHM (Pagoh Campus). All JTKK laboratories are equiped with instruments/apparatus with necessary facilities e.g. water, compressed gas, nitrogen gas, cold-room storage, etc., which provide practical and research experiences to all undergraduated and postgraduated students. All 12 laboratories (with their locations) are listed below:

 LABORATORY ACTIVITIES

 

INTERNAL AUDIT OSHE UTHM 

-The Department of Chemical Engineering Technology, UTHM Pagoh campus were audited by OSHE UTHM on 11th April 2019. The purpose of audit was to verify the level of UTHM Pagoh laboratory safety regulations. To conclude, the auditing process went smoothly.

 MTKK LAB INSPECTION BY "JABATAN AUDIT NEGARA"

- On 11th and 12th March 2019, Department of Chemical Engineering Technology (JTTK) laboratory were audited by National Audit Department of Malaysia to verify the equipment status based on the concession agreement. We feel gratefully that the audit process go smoothly.

Thanks to the lab team members for supporting and assisting the auditors during the visit.

INTERVIEW ASSESSMENT ON SAFETY AND

CHEMICAL HANDLING FOR PSM II STUDENTS

- On 6th March 2018, an interview assessment (IA) was conducted by laboratory team consisting of 4 PSM II students, lab team members (Pn. Masayu and En. Redzuan) and Dr. Akhma for a safety briefing and chemical handling procedure as a pre-requisite before performing lab works. The interviews had been conducted successfully and the main purpose of IA is to enhance safety awareness among students and preventing laboratory accident that might occur during conducting an experiment.

Congratulation to the students and lab team members for conducting IA. The IA is part of important procedure that need to be followed by PSM students in future before granting permission to perform lab works in JTKK laboratories.

LPU Visit from Nasuha Herbs Team

- On 25th October 2018, a delegation from Nasuha Herbs Pagoh led by En Haris (Director of Nasuha Herbs) paid a visit to JTKK Laboratories located at Blok H. This visit had been assisted by laboratory representatives (En. Redzuan, Pn. Masayu and Pn. Aziah) and JTKK lecturers (led by Head of Department of Chemical Engineering Technology - Dr. Akhma). The purpose of the visit is to observe the facilities and equipments owned by JTKK, beside to enhance research collaboration between Nasuha Herbs and JTKK. 

We look forward for more visit and collaboration from Nasuha Herbs.

LPU Visit to JTKK Laboratories

On 20th September 2018, the University’s Board of Director (LPU) visited the Department of Chemical Engineering Technology (JTTK) laboratory. The participants during the visit is the Vice Chancelor and other staff from the Board of Directors. The purpose of the visit was to observe and evaluate the condition of the department’s laboratories. The outcome of the visit was to act on non-satisfying laboratory’s condition by implementing corrective actions.
